More experimentation. Again. Because, I suppose, I'm not 100% satisfied with my work - to specify, I can't seem to really come up with any kind of consistant style that I like. I dunno. At any rate, I can try for some better poses. =P

There are a few tiny aspects about this that I'm not completely happy with, composition-wise, but what the hell. Here's Mako looking unusually docile. =P

As usual, great work with transparency, complementary colours, and backgrounds. The border was a good touch. It makes the picture seem like a portrait, and adds depth to the background. Having her arms kind of flared back would have helped give a feel of motion. Her right wing seems a little awkwardly placed as well. But those are just two little irks that I have compared to a million things that I absolutely love about this picture.

sorry for teh lackage of comeents heh so far youve done good stuff as usual *cant complain*

this looks pretty good but one sugestion couldnt you have done the wings in coplete motion like when you take a picture of a bug you can always see motion on its wings unless you capture it at a casy enough speed which means it looks like its frozen in the air

dont mind me just wondering about is since you said you were experimenting

Quite pretty. It would be pretty cool if you kept experimenting down this path. Good luck.

I can comment again, whee

Mako's so pretty xx I like how you did this, especially the wings... I didnt even notice em until I went into full-view and saw that I had been tricked by the transparency... and a closer look revealed some VERY nice detail on how the shading scheme was different where her wing was covering part of her body.

Another thing -- her hair. Just beautiful. She must really be having a laid-back day to let the locks just flow that freely, as opposed to the usual neat-and-bobbed look. Very, very nice. "Add to Favorites" button, here this one comes.

playing around with your style is always fun.. obviously you can tell i do that (just by looking at how inconsistant my style is from my older pics).. this is rather nice though :)

Usually artists go through like half their career before they truly settle on a style they like...So don't worry.

I forgot to mention in my original comment (and on AIM) that I love the way the hair turned out. At first I thought it was just messy, which isn't a bad thing at all, (me loves all hair, messy or not, as you know. =P) but then it occurred to me, after about 5 seconds, that it's a motion effect! I think this is the first noticable one you've used, and it looks awesome.

Just thought I'd mention that. =D
